4 lights moving slowly in formation

at 17;00 on 29/12/03 i was in the back garden of my house smoking a ciggarette,as i was looking up at the sky I saw three round objects

It flew across the sky line of Liverpool in about 10 - 12 seconds then disappeared into the clouds. It was very fast !!
