Timothy Gallaudet

Timothy Gallaudet is a retired U.S. Navy rear admiral who served as Oceanographer of the Navy before moving into senior civilian leadership at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), a career combining military oceanographic expertise with federal science-agency administration that lent unusual institutional weight to his later UAP advocacy. Gallaudet has stated that while serving as commander of the Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command in January 2015, he received an internal email from Fleet Forces Command flagging concerns about unidentified anomalous phenomena, including footage of an object exhibiting flight and structural characteristics inconsistent with any known aircraft in the U.S. arsenal; in testimony before Congress in November 2024, Gallaudet stated that email had subsequently been scrubbed from Navy servers, a claim that, if accurate, would represent significant evidence of institutional record suppression, though it has not been independently corroborated through released Navy documentation.
