A computer scientist and astronomer catalogued UFO occupant reports from 1868-1968 alongside centuries of fairy, demon, and folklore encounters, arguing the two traditions describe the same underlying phenomenon wearing the costume each era expects. The book proposed that UFOs are better understood through myth and psychology than through simple spacecraft literalism.
